Chapter 90 was rewritten in full by Ord. No. 2018-16(2) on July 17, 2018. Sec. 90-3, titled "Park signage," lists 20 acts prohibited "for the good of the park and all who use it," including entering after closing (item 15), camping (item 7), alcoholic beverages (item 4), unleashed dogs beyond a six-foot leash (item 13), smoking within 25 feet of a playground or splash pad (item 11), and amplifying sound, rallying or vending without a permit (item 17). Sec. 90-1 separately bars cutting, breaking or trampling park plants, trees or shrubbery, or damaging benches and other park appurtenances.
Sec. 90-4 requires a permit for special events, amplified music or presentations in a park. Sec. 00 full-day rental fee, and requires the park be vacated by dusk, with disputes resolved by a responding Jackson Police Department officer checking the rental receipt.
