Full Breakdown

Sec. 28-19 sets the baseline: city parks stay open to the public every day of the year, but only during the hours posted at that specific park. Kissimmee does not set one citywide opening or closing time in the code itself. The city manager can declare any park, or part of one, closed at any time, temporarily or on a recurring basis, whenever it's reasonably necessary. Anyone who stays on park property after a law enforcement officer, park ranger, or the city manager lawfully orders them to leave is in violation.

Violations & Fines

Remaining in a park after a lawful order to leave from police, a park ranger, or the city manager is a violation, as is entering a section the city has closed.

Frequently Asked Questions

What time do Kissimmee city parks close?
There's no single citywide hour. Sec. 28-19 has each park post its own opening and closing times on-site, and the city manager can close any park early when needed.
Can I be cited for staying in a Kissimmee park after hours?
Yes. Sec. 28-19(c) makes it unlawful to remain after a lawful order to leave from police, a park ranger, or the city manager.
