Ontario public parks are closed between 10:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m., and entry during closed hours is an infraction under OMC Title 14.
Ontario Municipal Code Title 14 (Parks) closes all City-owned and operated parks to the public between 10:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. daily unless a special event permit has been issued by the Community Services Department. Some facilities such as sports fields and the Ontario Sports Complex may have modified closing times extended to 11:00 p.m. when league play is authorized. Entering, remaining in, or parking in a posted park after hours is an infraction punishable by a fine of up to 100 dollars for the first offense, 200 dollars for a second within 12 months, and 500 dollars for subsequent offenses. Amplified sound, alcohol consumption outside of permitted special events, smoking, and glass containers are prohibited in City parks under OMC Title 14. Dogs must remain leashed on a leash no longer than 6 feet unless inside a posted dog park. Trail closures at dusk apply to open space preserves. The Ontario Police Department, Park Rangers, and Code Enforcement all have authority to cite violations.
