Full Breakdown

Under San Angelo Code of Ordinances ch. 9 (Parks, Lakes and Other Public Places), city park hours run from sunrise to sunset daily unless a park is closed for maintenance or after inclement weather. Being in a park playground between 11:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. is prohibited. Overnight camping, presence during roughly 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., requires a permit displayed on the vehicle. Lake Nasworthy and other lake properties carry their own posted rules. Police and park staff enforce closures.

Violations & Fines

After-hours presence and camping without a permit are citable under Chapter 9, with fines up to $500 per violation. Each day is a separate offense.
