Stonecrest, GA Curfew Laws: Park Curfew (2026)

Stonecrest Code § 19-26 sets the operating hours for every recreation facility in the City. Subsection (a) makes it unlawful for any person or vehicle to enter or remain in a recreation facility outside posted hours unless a permit has been approved by the Director of Parks and Recreation or the person is taking part in an authorized, scheduled program, class, special event or meeting. Subsection (b) fixes the default schedule: facilities open at 7:00 a.m. and close at sunset, except that parks with lighting for night use stay open until 11:00 p.m. or another time posted and authorized by the Director.

Only the specific areas that are illuminated and actively in use at night count as open after sunset; every other, unlit portion of a facility is treated as closed once the sun goes down, and closing signs must be conspicuously posted at every park and recreation facility. Any change to these hours needs the Director's approval. Enforcement runs through § 19-2, which lets any authorized law or code enforcement officer of the City issue a citation, a warning, or simply order a person found in a closed park after hours to leave, and § 19-3 ties penalties for any chapter 19 violation back to the citywide general-penalty provision in chapter 1.
