Violations of Chapter 24 - including new structures or fill in the floodway, building below the flood protection elevation in the floodfringe, or development that reduces flood storage capacity in the Flood Storage District - can result in citations, daily forfeitures under the city's general penalty provisions, restoration or removal orders, and loss of NFIP flood insurance eligibility for the property.
