Hutto, TX Filming & Production: Street Closures (2026)

Hutto prices street and right-of-way closures for filming separately from the general location-use fees in the same fee-schedule section, Appendix A § A8.001(d). Paragraph (3) sets the rate for total closure or obstruction of public street or right-of-way, including parking lots and on-street parking, at $50.00 per block per day. Paragraph (4) sets a lower rate, $25.00 per block per day, for partial closure or obstruction of the same street, right-of-way, parking lot or on-street parking area. Both fees are charged per block, so a production closing three blocks for a full day would pay $150.00 under paragraph (3), or $75.00 if the closure is only partial under paragraph (4).

These per-block, per-day charges are added to the flat $500.00 film application fee required under § A8.001(d) and to whichever public-property use fee under paragraphs (1) or (2) applies to the shoot. Paragraph (5) separately charges $50.00 per block or lot per day for using city parking lots and streets to park film trailers, buses, catering trucks and other large support vehicles, a fee that applies regardless of whether the street itself is closed. The Code of Ordinances routes filming applications through the same city process used for special event and street closure permits under the same Article A8.000.
