ALL aerial fireworks, firecrackers, Roman candles, and rockets are illegal for consumer use. Cities cannot authorize fireworks beyond what state law allows. Professional display permits available through the NC Fire Marshal. Violations are strictly enforced, especially around July 4th. Durham follows these state restrictions.
