Discharge is limited to private property or residential streets and is prohibited within 100 feet of any fireworks booth. Dangerous fireworks as defined by CA H&S Code §12505 are banned entirely. Sales permits are issued by the Fire Department ($350/year per stand); only local nonprofits with at least 20 resident members established in the city for at least one continuous year are eligible. Applications accepted November 1 through the first Friday of December.
