Even during the allowed windows, permissible consumer fireworks may not be used between 11:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m., except 11:00 p.m. on December 31 to 1:00 a.m. on January 1, and 11:00 p.m. on July 4 to 1:00 a.m. on July 5. Display fireworks remain prohibited without a state permit. Aerial fireworks (skyrockets, missile-type rockets, bottle rockets) are categorically banned under Arizona law A.R.S. §36-1606 in this jurisdiction. Sedona Fire District suspends all fireworks use during stage-one or higher restrictions imposed by federal, state, or city agencies — common in dry years.
