08(EE), part of the Human Habitation chapter's minimum standards for residential premises in the unincorporated county. The section prohibits conveying undiluted liquefied petroleum gas in liquid form through piping equipment and systems inside buildings, and bans vaporizing LP-gas using devices with an open flame or open electrical coil. Where a dwelling has two or more LP-gas containers, the piping connections must let a container be swapped out without shutting off gas flow to the appliances it feeds. Containers themselves must be designed, stored, and located so they don't create a hazard to the premises they serve or to surrounding property, and the system must include safety devices that relieve excessive pressure, arranged so the discharge vents to a safe location.

Every LP-gas system must also have at least one accessible means of shutting off the gas supply, and that shutoff has to be kept in good operating condition. 08(FF), separately requires that heat-producing equipment installed near combustible material be positioned, insulated, and clearance-controlled so the surface temperature of that material never reaches an unsafe level. 02, in unincorporated Tazewell County.
