Medina, OH Food Trucks & Mobile Vendors: Food Truck Permits (2026)

12 sits inside the Peddlers and Solicitors chapter and is Medina's only mobile-food-vending provision; it does not extend to general restaurant food trucks. Subsection (a) requires every frozen dessert peddler to register for a solicitor's permit and wear it while peddling, be at least eighteen, wear clean uniforms bearing the employer's name, stay free of contagious disease, hold a valid Ohio driver's license if driving, have no felony convictions, and file a quarterly revenue report with the City of Medina Finance Department within thirty days of each quarter's end.

Subsection (b) covers the vehicle itself: it must be marked with the company name and phone number in letters at least four inches high on both sides, carry at least $300,000 in combined bodily injury and property damage insurance filed with the Police Department, pass an annual mechanic-certified safety inspection also filed with the Police Department, and hold an annual "Food Service Mobile License" issued by the Medina County Department of Health, again filed with the Police Department. , or dusk if earlier, and subsection (d) caps any onboard music at audibility within sixty feet, requiring it be turned off while the vehicle is stopped for sales.
