Pageland, SC Food Trucks & Mobile Vendors: Food Truck Permits (2026)

Town Code Sec. 00. Owners must abide by all South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (SCDHEC) regulations, since the definition in Sec. 10-70 ties a mobile food unit to SCDHEC permitting. Approved vendors must also pay hospitality taxes at the rate set in the town's Hospitality Tax Ordinance. Sec. 10-72 spells out the application: the business name, owner name, mailing address, contact number, a description of activity including how many units will operate at the property, the physical address of operation, and the days and hours of operation.

Applicants must also submit a signed and dated property owner permission letter or lease agreement stating the length of time the vendor may use the site. Units must carry at least one operational five-pound ABC-rated or K-class fire extinguisher under Sec. 10-73(10), must be self-contained, attended at all times during operation, and cannot relocate to a spot not covered by the permit. The town clerk's office and code enforcement administer the license, and Sec. 10-77 lets the town suspend or revoke it for parking or traffic congestion, litter problems, community divisiveness, illegal activity, threats to public health or safety, or fraud on the application.
