Municipal Code Chapter 5.18 requires a food truck operator to hold a County of Orange mobile food vending permit and a separate City commercial vending vehicle permit before selling on any Lake Forest street. In the public right-of-way, a truck must park at least 250 feet from any house of worship, school (during hours), day care, park, hospital, library, or government building, 50 feet from another similar vending vehicle, and 10 feet from any driveway or entrance, and cannot exceed a 35 mph roadway.
