Section 274-3 generally bans mobile food service operations from business zones, but § 274-3(B)(3) carves out a single named exception for sidewalk vending: one mobile food service operation located on the sidewalk adjacent to Parcel/Tax Assessor's ID E15-0175, identified in the code as currently 456 Main Street, also known as Route 35. The exception is conditioned on the operator having obtained any approval the state requires, since a Main Street sidewalk sits within the state highway right-of-way and can trigger Connecticut Department of Transportation encroachment permitting on top of the Town's own process.

Because the exception is written to cover exactly one parcel, it does not open Main Street's sidewalks generally to food trucks or carts; any other sidewalk location in Town falls back under the general business-zone prohibition in § 274-3(A) unless it independently qualifies under one of the article's other exceptions, such as a Parks and Recreation-authorized event or a brewery/winery accessory use. As with every mobile food service operation, the operator at the Main Street spot still needs the Board of Selectmen permit required by § 274-3(B), submitted with the hours, intersection proximity, trash and restroom information required under § 274-3(C), and is still subject to whatever hours-of-operation limits and insurance conditions the Selectmen impose.
