Stonecrest, GA Food Trucks & Mobile Vendors: Sidewalk & Mobile Vending (2026)

Section 4.2.67 of the Stonecrest Zoning Ordinance, Food trucks, mobile vending/food cart, sets the citywide placement rules that apply once a vendor already holds the required Special Administrative Permit. Subsection C.2 is the specific sidewalk-adjacent restriction: 'Food Trucks, Mobile Vending/Food Carts' vendors shall not be located within 25 feet of any right-of-way, entryway, curb-cut or driveway.' That 25-foot buffer is measured from the vehicle or cart itself and applies on top of the section's separate 200-foot buffer from any eating establishment and 100-foot buffer from any food-selling retail store.

Vendors must also park on paved surfaces per subsection B.2, and subsection F.1 caps the footprint at no more than two standard parking spaces. Because entryways and curb-cuts are common along Stonecrest's commercial corridors near the I-20 frontage and the Mall at Stonecrest, the 25-foot rule effectively pushes trucks toward the interior of a parking lot rather than the curb line closest to the building or the street. A vendor sited in violation can lose the Special Administrative Permit that Section 4.2.67(A) otherwise requires, since subsection J lists failure to comply with any requirement of the article or the Code as grounds for denial, suspension, fine or revocation.
