It shall be unlawful for any itinerant vendor to engage in any activity defined in section 34-89 in the city without first obtaining a license therefor from the city. A person, firm, corporation or organization which falls within the definition of an itinerant vendor as herein defined shall not be relieved from complying with the provisions of this chapter merely by reason of associating temporarily with any local dealer, trader, merchant or other person.
