Fulton County, GA Food Trucks & Mobile Vendors: Vending Zones (2026)

3(1)(A) makes district location the first gate for food truck vending in unincorporated Fulton County: the required districts are O-I, MIX, C-1, C-2, M-1A, M-1 and M-2. That list covers office, mixed-use, commercial and industrial ground; residential and agricultural districts are simply not on it, so a truck cannot set up there regardless of what a property owner allows. The second gate is the clock. m. on Friday and Saturday, so weekend evening service runs later than weekday service. The third gate is separation from brick-and-mortar food sellers.

Item 7 requires every food truck to sit a minimum of 200 feet from any eating establishment and 100 feet from any retail store that sells food. Note the different radii: the buffer against an eating establishment (200 feet) is larger than the buffer against a retail food store (100 feet). The resolution builds in one release valve: the distance rules give way if both the property owner and the lease holder grant written, notarized permission, so a restaurant that actually wants a truck nearby can consent in writing. All of this governs the unincorporated remnant of Fulton County only; Atlanta and the county's incorporated cities set their own food truck location rules.
