050(A) lists 'Mobile food vending facility,' footnoted to operating condition (B)(2), as permitted (P) in the NC1, NC2, TOC, CBD, C1, C2, C3, IBP, I1, I2 and PI zones and marked not allowed in R1, R2, R3, R4, MR1, MR2, MF1, MF2, MF3 and ARC. That means a taco truck or espresso cart can locate by right on a commercial or industrial-zoned parcel in Lakewood, Pierce County, Washington, but not on a single-family, multifamily or agricultural-residential-cluster lot regardless of the size of the operation. 050(B)(2) layers on operating conditions before the cart or truck can open: a current City of Lakewood business license must be posted on the unit along with proof of state and county health compliance; the unit cannot sit in a required parking area or a landscaping area; carts are capped at one per 300 lineal feet, or one per building if placed inside a structure, and no larger than 25 square feet; trucks cannot exceed 8 feet wide by 30 feet long, exclusive of a temporary canopy; and units must be removed at night or, if kept inside a building, covered or secured.
