D treats food trucks as a temporary use and spells out where and how they may operate rather than confining them to one zone. A truck cannot be parked in a way that blocks vehicle or pedestrian traffic, and it must keep at least 15 feet of clearance from any fire hydrant, utility box, ADA accessibility ramp, or building entrance. Landscaped parking strips are off limits entirely. Trucks may not operate on any public street where the posted speed limit exceeds 35 miles per hour, or at any location the City otherwise deems hazardous, unless that street or location has been closed to vehicular traffic for a public event.

Operators planning to work in or next to a City park or other public facility must give the Lehi Parks Director written notice at least a week ahead of time. 040 applies to other temporary uses; instead, the standard duration at any one location is capped at twelve hours within a 24-hour period and five consecutive days within a seven-day period, and any stay on commercially zoned private property needs the property owner's prior written consent. With Zoning Administrator review, an operation can extend to five months at the same location, then reapply for up to seven more months, and keep reapplying every six months after the first year, with City staff checking traffic, parking, and maintenance impacts at each renewal.

On public rights-of-way, trucks must park lawfully, must not block access to parking stalls, driveways, or entrances, must face their vending window toward the sidewalk or private property unless the street is closed for an event, and must clear the right-of-way by the close of each business day. Vending directly to someone standing in the roadway, or serving customers drive-through style while in motion, is prohibited outright.
