Stonecrest's code has no separate chapter for garage or yard sales; the frequency limit lives inside the sign code's temporary sign permit process in Chapter 21. Section 21-85(2) defines a yard/garage sale sign as a temporary sign used to advertise a yard or garage sale, and treats the permit for that sign as authorization for the sale itself. Subsection h states that the temporary sign permit is valid only for family use and may not exceed three per year, capping a household to three sign permits, and therefore three publicly advertised sales, in a calendar year.

The city backs that cap with an on-site check: § 21-85(2)f requires the permit holder to display the temporary sign permit on request of any municipal officer or citizen who asks for proof of permission for the sale, so a fourth sale in the same year has no valid permit to produce. The permit itself is narrow in scope, covering the sign for two days before the sale under § 21-85(2)e and requiring removal the day after, which ties the sale's advertised duration to the same short window.

Because the limit is tied to a permit rather than a business license, it applies per family or household at an address rather than per property owner citywide, and there is no provision allowing a family to bank or carry over an unused sale into the next year.
