Home occupations in Euless may not display exterior signs, lighted displays, or window advertising visible from the street. Vehicle lettering on personal vehicles in a driveway is generally allowed.
The Euless Unified Development Code treats signage as a core test of whether a home occupation has remained incidental to residential use. Home-based businesses may not post any exterior sign on the dwelling, the fence, or the yard advertising the business, including A-frame sandwich boards, hanging shingles, window decals, or lighted signage. Window and interior displays visible from the public right-of-way are treated the same as exterior signage and likewise prohibited. Mailbox lettering identifying only the occupant is allowed, but mailbox flags, banners, or freestanding decorative commercial signage are not. The only practical commercial identification permitted on the property is factory or body-shop lettering on a personal or company vehicle parked in the driveway, which is allowed as long as the vehicle is a passenger or light-duty vehicle (typically under 1 ton) used regularly by the household, is not a trailer, and is not used primarily as a rolling billboard. Temporary open-house and garage-sale signs for activities unrelated to a home occupation are separately regulated by the sign ordinance and allowed in limited numbers. HOA covenants commonly impose additional sign bans. Violations are enforced through Code Enforcement with a notice and escalating daily fines.
