Full Breakdown

Section 5.44.030(L) of the Hesperia Municipal Code sets a mandatory condition for every home occupation permit: no signs may be displayed in connection with the business, and the operator cannot advertise using the home address either on-site or off-site. The rule sits among fourteen listed conditions -- alongside limits on employees, customer visits, and square footage -- that home-based businesses in Hesperia's residential districts must meet to keep their permit. There is no size threshold and no window- or yard-sign exception.

Violations & Fines

Displaying a sign or advertising the home address violates a mandatory home occupation condition and can trigger permit revocation and code enforcement action.
