Article IX's Yard sign category, at Sec. 05(3), does authorize small freestanding stake, frame, and arm-and-post signs for general residential purposes such as for-sale signs and political signs, but that category is a general residential allowance, not a business identification sign, and it does not override the no-exterior-evidence standard specific to home occupations. A resident who wants any sign identifying the business at the property has to secure approval through both the home occupation permit process and the sign code, and the zoning administrator can require removal of anything found to give exterior evidence of the business.
