015(3) is narrow and specific: all home occupations shall be permitted one sign not exceeding six square feet in area mounted flush against the wall of the residence. That is a single sign per property, wall-mounted rather than freestanding or pole-mounted, and capped at six square feet, well below the eight-square-foot allowance for an ordinary freestanding temporary sign elsewhere in the sign code. 015(2), which bars altering a structure's look through color, materials, lighting or signage so that the property can be recognized as serving the home occupation, does not preclude placement of this one permitted sign; in other words, the six-square-foot wall sign is the exception the code has already built into that broader appearance rule, so a compliant sign does not itself trigger a violation of subsection (2).

75 does not extend those allowances to a home-based business. Exceeding six square feet, mounting the sign away from the wall, or adding a second sign takes the home occupation outside the performance standards required to keep its permit current.
