The home occupation standards at Sec. 2 bar any use "that will create noise, noxious odors or any hazard that may endanger the health, safety or welfare of the neighborhood," and specifically exclude the repair or maintenance of motor vehicles and large-scale manufacturing. The dwelling must be the principal practitioner's primary residence at the time of application, and the home occupation stays valid only as long as that person still lives there, still runs the business, and still holds a current business license.

Under Sec. 11.4.4 that is a misdemeanor punished per Sec. 1.50.020 with a fine up to $1,000, up to six months in jail, or both, and each day the violation continues counts as a separate offense.
