Jackson Township permits a home occupation only as a conditional use, meaning the underlying zoning district must allow it and an applicant must meet every standard of Township Code § 244-121 on top of the district's base requirements. Subsection A bars any employees other than bona fide residents of the dwelling, so a home occupation cannot function as an outside-staffed business. Subsection B caps the space used for the occupation at 50% of the gross first-floor area of the dwelling, and Subsection C requires the entire operation to be conducted inside the dwelling or an accessory building, never in the yard.

Subsection D forbids any external display of goods or outdoor activity or advertising beyond a single nonilluminated identification sign no larger than 150 square inches. Noise standards under Subsections E and F require that nothing generated by the occupation be audible to neighbors or interfere with their quiet enjoyment of their own property. Subsections G through I prohibit any internal or external alteration of the dwelling, any construction feature or electrical or mechanical equipment that changes the structure's fire rating, and any occupancy load beyond what the dwelling was built for under the applicable fire codes.

Subsection J requires that employee parking not interfere with residential street parking, Subsection K bars any use of firearms in the business, including repair of nonfunctioning parts, and Subsection L limits every dwelling unit to one home occupation at a time, so a resident cannot stack multiple home-based businesses under separate approvals.
