05(D) sets the year-round irrigation schedule for every water user in Pompano Beach, including outside the city's service area. m. Existing landscaping may only be watered on two fixed days tied to the property's street address: even-numbered addresses and rights-of-way water Thursdays and/or Sundays, odd-numbered addresses water Wednesdays and/or Saturdays. New landscaping (planted 90 days or less) gets extra flexibility: it can be watered once on installation day regardless of schedule, then on any of Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, or Sunday for its first 30 days, narrowing to Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and/or Saturday from day 31 through day 90.

Irrigation systems may run outside the restricted days or hours only for testing, maintenance, or repair with someone on-site, capped at once a week and 10 minutes per zone. Low-volume hand watering, micro-irrigation, drip systems, rain barrels, and cisterns are exempt from the day and time limits entirely, as is watering-in of fertilizer or pesticide applications required by the product label, which is capped at one application. 62. A South Florida Water Management District water shortage or water shortage emergency declaration supersedes this local schedule and, per subsection (D)(8), any more restrictive District rule controls for its duration.

Users may apply to the City Manager or designee for a variance from their assigned day, citing hardship such as shared water sources, distribution problems, soil-moisture-sensor controllers, or a house of worship whose primary use day matches its restricted day; even with a variance, no single zone may be irrigated more than two days a week unless it uses a soil-moisture sensor or weather-based controller.
