Full Breakdown
Town Code § 133-25.1(A) caps weeds, brush, grass, grains and similar growth on developed parcels at eight inches. "Developed" means a certificate of occupancy has been issued for the property. The cap doesn't reach mature, healthy trees or reasonably manicured shrubs and bushes. Inspectors who find land in violation can order correction under §§ 133-27 and 133-28 after notice, and if the owner doesn't comply the Town can correct it and bill the cost to the owner.
Violations & Fines
The Town issues a notice of remediation demanding correction; if the owner doesn't comply within 72 hours the Town cuts the growth itself and assesses the cost as a lien on the property, plus Chapter 133 fines starting at $500.
