City Code Sec. 10-41(b) makes it unlawful for any owner to let weeds or grass exceed 12 inches on a lot within city limits, occupied or unoccupied, improved or unimproved. Large parcels over 5 acres get a partial exemption beyond 120 feet from a public street or adjacent developed property; lots of 5 acres or less must comply in full. Weeds or grass encroaching onto an adjacent sidewalk or street are separately prohibited under subsection (c), regardless of height.
