Pageland, SC Noise Ordinances: Amplified Music & Outdoor Sound (2026)

Town Code Sec. , or at any time during Sunday, any musical device of any nature, however operated, that is operated so loudly as to make a noise to disturb the repose of the community. The section carves out an exception for ordinary household use: it does not prohibit operating a radio, television, electronic games, or other such instruments in the home, so long as they are operated so as not to disturb the peace. A companion section, Sec. 22-25, separately bars operating any coin-operated mechanical music device in a place of business at any time in a manner that disturbs the repose or tranquility of the community, showing the town treats commercial jukebox-style noise and general amplified music as related but distinct problems within the same article.

Sec. 22-27 rounds out the article by making disorderly behavior at public halls or places of amusement, entering in a drunken condition, or interrupting a performance separately unlawful. All three sections fall under the single penalty clause that closes the article.
