Under the Sahuarita Town Code, operating loudspeakers, amplifiers, stereo systems, or other devices that produce sound audible beyond property boundaries at levels that disturb the peace is a violation of nuisance provisions. The standard is based on whether a reasonable person would find the volume unreasonably loud and disturbing, taking into account the time of day and character of the neighborhood. Amplified music during nighttime hours between 10 PM and 7 AM faces stricter scrutiny because background noise levels are lower. Events at public parks or facilities may require a special event permit that includes noise conditions.
