Under EMC Section 9.32.410, construction activity is permitted Monday through Friday from 7 AM to 7 PM and Saturday from 7 AM to 7 PM in most zones. Sunday and federal holiday construction is prohibited in residential areas. Construction equipment must be equipped with manufacturer-standard mufflers. Grading and earthmoving equipment may not exceed 75 dB at 50 feet. Projects within the Coastal Zone may have additional conditions imposed through the Local Coastal Program review. Extended hours require written approval from the Community Development Director.
