Full Breakdown
Deltona Code § 38-71(c) makes it unlawful to operate any sound source that exceeds the Table I limit for more than ten percent of a ten-minute (or longer) measurement period, measured at or beyond the property line of the noise source. Table I sets residential limits at 60 dBA from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and 55 dBA overnight; commercial or tourist uses get 65 dBA daytime and 60 dBA overnight; manufacturing and agricultural uses are capped at 75 dBA at all times. Air conditioners, lawn mowers, and permitted daytime construction are exempted from these specific limits.
Violations & Fines
Exceeding the Table I sound level for your use category and time of day violates § 38-72 and is punishable under § 1-15; repeat offenses from the same sound source can lead to court-ordered equipment confiscation.
