Full Breakdown

Deltona's noise ordinance treats a vehicle horn sounded for anything but a danger warning, and a car radio, tape deck, record player or amplifier played loud enough to disturb a resident or guest across a property line, as a "loud, disturbing and unnecessary noise": a violation separate from the article's measured decibel limits. Enforcement doesn't require a sound-meter reading; police or code enforcement can cite based on the disturbance itself, and quieter standards apply at night. The prohibition applies citywide, including on public streets and in traffic.

Violations & Fines

Cited by Deltona police or code enforcement under Sec. 38-73; enforceable as a noise violation without a decibel meter reading.
