(1)General Prohibition. Beginning upon the conclusion of the Compliance Period established in § 211-3.1, no person, business, or contractor shall use, operate, lease, rent, or deploy any gasoline-powered leaf blower within the City of Stamford.(2)Seasonal Exception. Notwithstanding subsection (1), gasoline-powered leaf blowers may be used only during the months of October, November and December. Use in all other time periods is prohibited.B.Municipal Use: All City departments shall complete the phase-out of gasoline-powered landscaping equipment by the conclusion of the Compliance Period.
C.Storage Exception: Nothing in this chapter shall prohibit the possession or storage of gasoline-powered landscaping equipment, provided it is not used or deployed in violation of this chapter.
