Ridgefield's Noise Control Ordinance (Chapter 250 / §7-19) defines daytime as 7:00 a.m.–8:59 p.m. and nighttime as 9:00 p.m.–6:59 a.m. A residential-zone emitter may not exceed 55 dBA daytime or 45 dBA at night at a residential receptor, measured ~1 foot beyond the property line.
