A.Horns, signaling devices. The sounding of any horn or signaling device on any automobile, motorcycle or other vehicle on any street or public area in the county except as a danger warning, the creation of any unreasonable loud or harsh sound by means of any signaling device and the sounding of any device for any unnecessary and unreasonable period of time....G.Exhausts. The discharge into the open air of the exhaust of any steam engine, stationary or moving internal combustion engine or motor boat except through a muffler or other device which will effectively prevent loud or explosive noises therefrom. Such are not in any event to annoy or disturb the quiet, comfort or repose of persons in any office, dwelling, hotel or other type of residence or of any persons in the vicinity.

A vehicle running without an effective muffler or a driver misusing a horn violates Section 8.80.020 and is a misdemeanor under Section 8.80.040, amenable to the Magistrate or State Court of Hall County and punished under Code Section 1.50.020 at the court's discretion for each violation.
