070(B), Location of Sources, requires sources of illumination to be shielded so they are not visible at property lines at an elevation of four feet and above, and requires lighting to be arranged so it reflects away from adjoining premises rather than toward them. The same section caps fixture height under subsection (C): poles serving pedestrian areas cannot exceed 15 feet; poles for parking, driveway and loading areas (except truck and trailer lots) cannot exceed 25 feet or the maximum permitted building height, whichever is less; and truck and trailer lot poles cannot exceed 40 feet or the building height, whichever is less.

Poles must be rustproof metal or decorative wood with underground wiring. 6 footcandles on minor streets up to 20 footcandles at gasoline pump islands. These shielding, pole-height and intensity standards were last amended by Ordinance No. 065.
