Full Breakdown
Clark County Code § 14.40.043 bans standing, parking, or storing an abandoned vehicle (undisplayed plates, discarded, or inoperable/disrepaired per § 14.04.005) on any highway, street, or public property without consent. Under § 14.40.045, an LVMPD officer, constable, or county code enforcement officer affixes a warning notice; if the vehicle isn't removed within 72 hours, it may be towed by a licensed tow operator at the owner's expense. This applies only in unincorporated areas, Paradise, Winchester, Enterprise, Spring Valley, Sunrise Manor, and the Las Vegas Strip corridor, not inside Las Vegas, Henderson, North Las Vegas, Boulder City, or Mesquite city limits.
Violations & Fines
Civil infraction citation affixed to the vehicle; towing at owner's expense after the 72-hour notice period expires if the vehicle remains.
