State law C.R.S. 42-4-1204 (Stopping, standing, or parking prohibited in specified places) supplies the universal distance rules (no parking within 15 feet of a fire hydrant, 20 feet of a crosswalk at an intersection, in any intersection, on a sidewalk, etc.) that apply to all commercial vehicles regardless of zone. Citywide, properly registered, operable commercial vehicles may use commercial and industrial zoning districts and private off-street lots without the residential time limits. Active loading and unloading on a public way during the operation is treated separately from 'parking' under Colorado law. Enforcement is by the Loveland Police Department (970-667-2151) for street violations and by City Code Enforcement / Public Works for private-property and right-of-way issues.
