Palm Bay regulates commercial vehicle parking in residential areas under Chapter 74.25. Commercial vehicles and equipment are subject to restrictions in residential zoning districts to preserve neighborhood character.
Palm Bay's commercial vehicle parking regulations restrict heavy commercial vehicles, equipment trailers, and vehicles with prominent commercial branding from being parked in residential neighborhoods. Vehicles exceeding 10,000 lbs GVWR are generally prohibited from overnight residential street parking. One personal-use commercial vehicle (pickup truck, van) may be parked on residential property if used for daily commuting. Vehicles carrying hazardous materials may not be parked in residential areas at any time. Semi-trucks, construction equipment, and box trucks must be stored at commercial or industrial locations.
Violations result in warnings followed by fines of $100β$300 per occurrence. Vehicles parked in violation for extended periods may be subject to towing at the owner's expense.
