Section 41.00 of the Comprehensive Zoning and Land Development Code addresses parking of commercial vehicles in residential areas. No commercial vehicle with a gross vehicle weight rating in excess of 12,550 pounds may park in any residentially zoned district, except when actively engaged in loading or unloading. The 2026 zoning amendment further bars vehicles or attached trailers wider than 96 inches in residential zones. The definition of vehicle includes motorized and non-motorized tractors, vans, box trucks, open-bed and flatbed pickups, and mobile equipment or machinery. Service-call exceptions apply for work being performed at a nearby property.
