020(A) singles out painted curb zones: no person may stop, stand, or park a vehicle within the area of a painted red curb, or in violation of a posted no-parking sign, unless a police officer or other authorized town agent directs otherwise. This sits alongside 19 other listed prohibitions in the same subsection, including parking within an intersection, on a crosswalk, within 20 feet of a crosswalk, or within 30 feet of a stop sign or signal, all enforced under the same civil scheme. 040(A) to place signs restricting parking in any way necessary, including angled parking or no-parking zones, and once those signs, or curb paint, are in place, disobeying them is itself a civil traffic violation.
