10 and are subject to those requirements as well. 030 requires a driveway permit for existing unpermitted driveways, construction of new driveways, physical modifications to existing driveways, or a change in land use requiring a different standard than the one the driveway was permitted under; driveways built or rebuilt by borough or state projects are exempt unless later physically modified. 050's general standards apply to every driveway regardless of land use: driveways may not cause adverse drainage onto the roadway, the landowner is responsible for maintenance including culvert cleaning and thawing, and snow removed from the driveway cannot be placed or pushed across the roadway, obstruct traffic signage or address numbers, obstruct sight triangles, or be dumped in the right-of-way in a way that interferes with drainage or maintenance.

The driveway landing must slope negative two percent away from the road where feasible, measure at least ten feet from the outside edge of the shoulder (up to 30 feet for single-unit trucks or larger), and meet the roadway at close to a perpendicular angle, no less than 60 degrees without borough approval. Fill or cut slopes steeper than 2H:1V within the right-of-way are barred unless engineered by a state-registered civil engineer, and unless otherwise specified, driveways must be installed with a minimum 16-gauge, 12-inch diameter corrugated metal culvert pipe, sized larger if the borough determines 12 inches is insufficient for drainage.
