(b) No charging devices may be placed within the physical dimensions of a parking space as required in Chart 3 or at the entrance to a parking space. All EV parking spaces shall meet the minimum dimensional requirements contained in Chart 3.

Appendix A - Zoning Section 26(C)(9) governs any new EV Capable, EV Installed, or EV Ready parking space a property owner voluntarily installs. Charging equipment must mount on a wall or structure at the front of the space, without narrowing Chart 3's minimum space dimensions. Cords and connectors can't cross a drive aisle, sidewalk, or walkway, and retraction or storage devices must clear the pedestrian and parking surfaces. Adjacent sidewalks must keep 5 feet clear, and mechanical equipment or charging units over 42 inches tall are barred from the required front yard.
