Full Breakdown

Businesses that need a curb loading zone must apply in writing to the citizens traffic safety support commission, listing the vehicle types and delivery frequency involved. Approved zones are marked with curb paint or a sign reading "LOADING ZONE. VIOLATORS WILL BE TOWED" and require an advance installation payment plus an annual renewal fee due before October 1. Only permit-decaled commercial or business vehicles may occupy the space, and even then only while actually loading or unloading.

Violations & Fines

Unauthorized parking in a marked loading zone is a misdemeanor, fined $25-$200, and the vehicle can be impounded as a nuisance.
