Fort Worth, TX Parking Rules: Loading Zones (2026)

City Code § 22-158 makes it unlawful to stop, stand or park longer than five minutes in a marked passenger loading zone, and only for the expeditious loading or unloading of persons; leaving a vehicle unattended in a passenger loading zone is unlawful at any time, with no grace period. 1 governs commercial loading zones: a noncommercial vehicle cannot stop, stand or park in a space specifically designated for commercial motor vehicles unless it holds a loading permit valid for that time and place, and a commercial vehicle (or permit holder) that does park there cannot exceed the time limit set for that zone or specified in the permit, or use the space for anything besides expeditious loading, unloading, delivery or pickup of supplies or merchandise.
