Full Breakdown
Under Hesperia Municipal Code § 10.08.100, the city council establishes loading, passenger-loading, and bus-loading zones by resolution, marked with signs or curb colors. Yellow curbs allow stopping only to load or unload passengers (3 minutes) or materials (20 minutes) and apply only to commercial deliveries, mail, and express/parcel pickup. White curbs allow passenger loading only, also capped at 3 minutes. Red curbs bar all stopping except a bus in a marked bus zone. Green curbs limit standing to 20 minutes. Loading privileges may not be abused beyond the time necessary for the loading or unloading itself.
Violations & Fines
Overstaying a color-coded loading zone's time limit, or using one for parking rather than active loading/unloading, is a citable violation; a non-bus vehicle stopping in a red bus zone is likewise prohibited.
