Full Breakdown

The transportation director sets loading-zone locations and posts signs or yellow curb markings showing the hours the zone applies. During those hours, a vehicle may only stop there to actively load or unload property or passengers, and the stop can't exceed 30 minutes. Stopping for any other purpose, or parking longer than the limit, violates the code. The city manager can issue permits letting construction vehicles park longer in these zones, but violators still face a citation for each additional 30-minute period they overstay.

Violations & Fines

Civil offense; fines run $1 to $500 as set by City Council, plus a $10 late fee every 30 days (max $60) if unpaid.
